The real question should be what drugs can make a person do that to an instrument. I took my share of drugs back in the day, and never did that to an instrument.

Interesting butchery.

Those Vantage necks are actually pretty nice - I've had two over the years. Take the neck off, sand it back a bit, re-radius and re-fret the fretboard, graft a little piece on the headstock and reshape it, and you have a well-made 80's Japanese neck.

Then, hack off the headstock, drill holes down the fretboard, slather it in house paint here and there, and bolt it right back up to that frankenstein..

If actually drugs, meth would be my guess. It's probably just the result of a bored idiot though. Maybe some kid did it for hit punk rock debut.
