I'd prefer visual schtick over musical schtick.

+1 to this. Do all the wacky visual stuff you like. Just hit the groove and stay there... Nobody wants to hear your 8 bar drum fill in the middle of "Smooth Operator" or something.

I guess periodically for effect is okay.....constantly would bug me, out of the corner of my eye....it would be like if you did the big bass slide to start and end of every chorus.

Big bass slides are one of my main moves. Coupled with a pelvic thrust.

I used to think Tommy Lee was so cool in the 80's. Loved watching him play, although Bonham is my favorite drummer and I don't recall him twirling the sticks.

Very funny commentary.

A lot of those moves are from competitive marching bands and drum & bugle corps. Entertaining as hell. And he's flat nailing the hit recording version. If this was a wedding or dance party, you'd have a packed dance floor. Not sure what that event is, maybe an undertakers society or something.

I imagine it's really tough on a drummer when has to have all of the fun for the whole band.
