Dumb CL Ad's pt 5, Dumbester and Dumberest

From a fellow TBer.
I tried to censor it before posting.

Bassist stuck in rock and roll purgatory (Plymouth)
**** my life, I'm stuck in rock and roll purgatory. My guitarist buddy had a mental breakdown because he couldn't handle the responsibility of being the sole guitar player. Too much drama, so I decided to move on.

Anyway, I'm a crazy ********* bassist looking for a bands to play with.

I want to gig. I love playing with people, but I have no interest in hanging out in your basement for months on end and listening to you ***** about whatever. Wife's breaking your balls? Got a tough job? That's tough ****, but it doesn't relieve you of your responsibilities. I've done it before, and it's a waste of time. **** that. My *** isn't getting any younger. I want to gig and make some money. A man needs to pay for his gear and beer somehow.

I have extensive experience playing in church bands. Listening to sermons between sets isn't my idea of a great time, but it beats not playing music at all. Playing in bands outside of a church setting have been less than stellar for me on account of those bands' utter lack of ambition, commitment, and focus. I have waaaaay too much "jamming" experience.

Most of my influence comes from Jack Bruce, Tommy Shannon, and Sting. I ******* love Lemmy. John Paul Jones is cool too. I'm getting into more Geddy and Entwistle.

I play a variety of Fender basses and an Ampeg. I can sing lead or backup if required.

Enough yaking. Hit me up if you're interested and let's make music, break ****, and **** girls.

Spark notes:
-Bassist, age 26
-Extensive church band experience
-Blues/rock and roll influence
-Interested in getting out there, not hanging out in your basement
-In need of gear and beer money
-Fender basses
-Let's make music, break ****, and **** girls

F*** my life, I'm stuck in rock and roll purgatory. My guitarist buddy had a mental breakdown because he couldn't handle the responsibility of being the sole guitar player. Too much drama, so I decided to move on.

How this guy was ever allowed to play on a worship team is unbelievable.

Hopefully this can be taken as constructive criticism by the original author of this craigslist ad "bassist in rock and roll purgatory".

Hey bassist, bands looking for a bassist feel exactly the same way. They really don't want to hear your problem and complaints. Complaining about a drama-queen is in itself a form of drama-queenism. They want to know that you are available, capable, hard working, experienced, have your own gear, have your own transportation, have a positive attitude, and are easy to work with...

And pretty much NOTHING else.

Think about what stuff you would put on a employment resume, and what stuff you WOULD NOT.

Like being bored during a sermon: honestly pretty normal to be bored by a sermon - but to actually mention it is unprofessional and indicates you may have other bad attitudes.

Delete this craigslist ad. Write another without the negative vibes. Make yourself sound like a easy going cooperative guy with a positive attitude.

New one here in Pittsburgh

Hey, I'm a bassist (Lower Burrell)
That's right, I'm a bassist. And a kickass one, at that. You need me. I'm not gonna slap, tap, or any of that gimmicky bullsh*t. I'm not gonna play metal, hardcore, grindcore, thrash, or any of that stupid bullsh*t. You want melodic McCartney-style walking basslines? Got it! You want someone with reliable gear, transportation, no ego (seriously), no drugs, no stupid team jerseys worn every f***ing day, no pants below the ass even though I'm wearing a belt, no crooked trucker style hat bought at Hot Topic because I'm a f***ing MTV generation tool, and tons of experience? Got it. I also have keyboard skills, too. Online samples? Suck it... you send ME to your music and I'll decide whether or not it's worth my time. I'm in my mid-twenties and tired of punks and wannabe shredders booking shows in local VFW's. Let's get it done, bi*ch.
They call me... god
Ps... this is a real ad. Reply if interested

This guy would be perfect but we need someone with an ego. Oh well.

The CL ad:
Help Save my Bass Clarinet
I am reaching out to the community to listen/read about my story...taking a gig from Craigslist, receiving a check for it (that turned out bad), a detective misused his power (and potentially targeted this energy towards me once he learned I am gay), and then was charged with a crime I did not do.

I'm faced with having to sell my Bass Clarinet and being without ability for work- which I have depended on for the last several years.

I appreciate it!!!

The link is to a fund raising site that has a more detailed story. Something's definitely odd there... I always thought that any evidence of got our innocence was pretty much required to be released in a trial situation, but I'm no lawyer.

I was just going to post this!
His site is rambling madness.
I am not saying it didn't happen, but I can't process his ultra long description of every little detail.
