Sum41's Derryck decided that it would be fun to wakesurf (I think that's the right term) by tossing an SG down on the stage, running at it, jumping on it and surfing along till it stopped.

That might have been a cool rock moment, especially since he didn't fall, but the guitar wasn't his, it was a loaner. And the owner of the guitar, who can't afford to buy a new one like he can, was none to happy to get it back totally scratched to all hell.

I read that Björk once took a dump on stage. Now that was pretty unprofessional, but last winter a punk/metal band in these parts made headlines by appearing at a family-type fair with an act that included stapling postcards to their chests, whipping, and a live blowjob. There were plenty of children in the audience. The band suggested things just got out of hand, but such lack of judgment is kind of hard to excuse, since the whole show was obviously premeditated to bring them publicity.

Ok, so not a bass player, thank god, but a drummer I once played with back in the scary disc days once took a dump in one of those hardware cases that doubled as a drum seat.
Unfortunatly, I was the only who saw it.

My band (Zug Zug) was playing a gig at the Middle East Cafe in Boston around 1990. Headlining the show was punk legend GG Allin, under an assumed name because he was supposedly banned from playing anywhere in Boston. He came out in a dress, then proceeded to take a bottle of Heineken and stick it up his butt, shake it around, then drink from it.

I remember that gig, blotted it out my memory for the longest time, but you had to remind me.

If anyones from the detroit area you prob know Light Show Bob.
well other than his usual antics one night he said to my now singer, "Dude i got the Pyro tonight"
and he presented the stage with a paper plate full of flash powder.

But yes the emo hardcore bands with parents who buy them $3k warwick thumbs, full ampeg stacks tossing the stuff around like idiots is bad.
I saw a kid with a big old expensive bass drop it like 5 times in the set cause his strap locks kept breaking.

Umm, I saw NOFX last Sunday. Fat Mike sharted himself... and the singer from another band got mad at people telling him that they suck and should get off the stage and said "why don't you get your band up here?" I promptly started yelling and pointing at me and the rest of my band, even one of the security guards turned around and tried to get in on that action.

Oh and this is great!

The Hives are normally great live...

Their roadie tuned it up again and he played it for the rest of the show.
