Dumbest thing you've seen someone do onstage

Hi

I'm almost tempted to start a new thread, strangest things seen at a jam session

My favorite was this drunk chick who wanted to sing Bobby McGee by channeling Janice (Joplin of course) Janice must have had another gig in the Cosmos as this chick got up, remembered about 3 words and froze. Luckily, I knew the words and we got through the song. The worst part was listening to her babble for 20 minutes afterwards about how I called it that she wasn't in shape to do that. I can't say that I miss playing in a house band for a jam session anymore.

Caught on tape, now there is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

"Dude, someone caved my skull in during a fight on stage, any idea who?"

"Hell yeah, it was the bassist, check out my video on Youtube and go sue his ass."

There was even a comment by someone near the camera that they'll be famous on the internet now. Too true. Lord knows they won't get famous for their music.

Eh... you fight on stage, you take your chances. Back in 195 I saw Hank Rollins - when he was with Black Flag - jump off the stage and go after someone who was fighting.

My own personal dumb moment... I was playing drums in a band and it was our first show. Our guitarist liked to drink. He decided to switch guitars and accidentally left his cable wrapped around the first guitar's strap after he had set it on the stand and grabbed the second guitar. He walks forward and boom, down goes the first guitar. After that, we put a "no drinking before shows" rule in. heh

Some girl let the air out of my tires that night too, so it was a great evening...

1. GG Allin wins ~ His goal was to kill himself during a live act, but during the planning stages he overdosed on heroin. (Check the documentary called 'Hated')

2. Anyone who straps on a six string bass up really high on the chest, then expresses deep musical emotions via facial expression akin to those caused by a post constipational bowel movement. I hear they teach a course on this at B.I.T. called "Poser 101" :P

Always cracks me up when you see a band in a tiny club with a postage-stamp sized stage, the band is playing a 35 minute set, and the bass player has his whole bass collection up there, not to mention a huge rig, and is wearing a wireless. The last one I saw like this, the guy actually mounted one of those sports water bottles to his mic stand like Entwhistle used to do, the bottle fell off, and the moron's poor girlfriend had to hold the bottle while he sipped from it mid-song. No joke.

I was at a battle of the bands and this guy was doing the bass swing thing, and acting all ******** like, he tried another swing and obviously someone has never heard of strap locks, the bass fell and stopped working, so he decided to run around the stage for a while. then he tried playing again. It wouldnt work, he finally got it working again, tried another swing and it fell again. At this point everyone was laughing at him and the bass wasnt working, and he was pretty much stuffed
