Dumbest thing you've seen someone do onstage

Didnt the fact that they have a mosh pit at a Fall Out Boy Concert make anybody laugh? Thats like having a mosh pit to backstreet boys or simple plan or someother crappy pop band.

Sure they have moshpits at emo-punk concerts. There's alot of karate kicks, a couple of break dancers, everyone wear's bandanas around their necks like they are outlaws. Everyone also waits their turn in a polite manner, and gives the person ample room to show off their tae-kwon-do moves they learned watching Power Rangers 10 years ago.

How about Tim from Rage Against the Machine throwing his bass up in the air at the MTV music awards(I think). It came down and smacked him right in the face, preety grueling.
Incorrect.

It was the bassist from Nirvana.
Even better than that, the bassist from Silverchair trying to rip off that antic, missed the catch and knocked himself out cold. Luckily it was the end of the set!

At another gig, the drummer from the same band did his trick, which was to dive head first through a pre-weakened bass drum skin. Only trouble was, the roadies forgot to put the split in the new drum head that night. Result; one unconcious drummer and a half a set still to play...

I have 2.

At my first show ever we had a friend hit the singer with a wheelchair, we got thrown off stage

at a battle of the bands i was promoting the guitar player from some emo band was doing the fallout boy spinning and throwing thing and he unplugged his guitar. That was during the first song, and he never plugged it back in. Funny thing is, his band won

They kept buying this Southern rock band (Link Removed) shots during their set. Being a bunch of partying guys, they gladly accepted.

The singer had a few many and passed out in the middle of a song. When he woke up (on the ground) he continued playing.

1) watching a local band of high school kids drive in from out of state to play a local show. they acted like arrogant rock stars, and played out of tune the whole time. halfway through one of the songs, the bass player thinks he notices the guitar sounding out of tune (duh) and reaches over to twist one of the tuners on his buddy's guitar, while playing. it made it sound worse, and he acted like a musical genius!

2) seeing *cat power* live. she began arguing with the sound guy and stopping in the middle of two songs, before sitting at the piano and nodding off for 20 minutes while playing the same chords over and over...the show was a mess, thanks to heroin.

I was watching a Musicians Institute... the only word I can think of is recital. Anyway, this one band got up and started playing an RHCP song (the exact song escapes me now), but anyway the lead guitarist was going crazy on stage, which was pretty entertaining. Anyway, right before the solo he runs all the way to the other side of the stage. THe problem was his cord wasn't long enough adn he jerked back, unplugging himself. Looking around confusedly, he finally just jumped up on a moniter and started soloing without his amp. It the funniest thing I'd ever seen.

It didn't happen to ME, but I was on stage WHEN it happened. Does that count....

Last year, while on tour with my old band, we were playing a club in Edmond, OK.
3 songs in to the set, my guitar player was standing on the drum riser, facing the drummer. He turned and jumped OFF in one fast move just as my singer was jumping ON to the riser.

In case you were wondering, a Gibson SG headstock causes 7 stitches to the face.

BTW, he finished the show.

Well he was throwing his bass mommy and daddy bought him around like a stick and on one jump it goes wrong and i see an Ampeg 8x10 and svt head just start tipping forward and just keep going and going.BANG!!!
haha dont get me wrong i thrash hard in all the metal groups ive been in but that was just so dumb

The dumbest thing I have seen onstage was that Winehouse skank trying to sing her own lyrics off of the teleprompter last night at the Grammys - and then winning! I honestly don't think I will ever watch the Grammies again!
