Dumbest thing you've seen someone do onstage

I was at a battle of the bands when the bassist/lead singer jumped off the stage and landed on the side of his left ankle. The headstock jabbed his chest and snapped the neck of his Warwick Corvette. They didn't win, although he recieved the most cheers that afternoon.
Mike Ness used to do this weird thing on stage ... he's thin enough that he can lift himself up by having a roadie tie a not into the mic cable, put it around his neck, and lift up without choaking or anything.
At CBGB's, the roadie screwed up the knot, he lifted the cable, it got caught on a light, and no-one realized he was choaking until he started to turn blue. He survived, but to this day he hasn't done it again.
My old punk band entitled the Ampetamines was playing a gig opening for the Adolescents. I kept telling our guitarist to get a strap lock, but "it hasn't fallen yet, so why do I need one?" ... one broken telecaster later, he listened.

As much as a like the band Lamb of God theyre bassist uses a 4 string with only 3 strings.Hes been doing it for a long time.Whats he do like buy a pack of 4 and throw the G away or somthing?
The bassist of contrive does that too, that's not stupid, it's style. He doesn't use it why have it there?

saw some band pass around a bottle of whiskey and the singer liked the bottle a little too much...couldnt remember the songs, then the band started to pack up, and he got mad and said that he'd finish the songs himself. well, the guy at the board had enough so he threw on the cd player, and the singer got so pissed, he threw the mic down on the ground, and smashed his gibson 335 to bits...
heard later that was the second time IN THAT VENUE that the same band got druuuunk and did something stupid like that

i saw a guitarist step on his cord and tear it out of his input and you know that sound a jack makes when the amp is cranked but the cord isnt connected....not pleasant. Now I loop my cord around the bottom nut for the strap. They were horrible anyway they were playing Orgy and the singer did that thing where you loop the mic cord around your neck and hold it upside down so it looks like your hanging yourself from it... that was pretty stupid too.
At last year's Gigantour in Sacramento, a band from New York called "Life Is Agony" performed on the 2nd stage. The music was bad, but even worse was the lead singer's intro speech. It was the staple speech of a clinical depressive...
"Life is ****", and all that jazz. I came to a concert to rock, smile, and LIVE, not to listen to someone whine before, during, and after a song about how crappy life is. What better way to kill album sales?
Apparently, the crowd agreed with me, with their range of murmurs to shouts of disapproval. The majority of the audience just migrated over to the main stage in anticipation of the headliners.
Definitely not one of Dave Mustaine's better choices for a band to play at Gigantour.

The dumbest thing I've ever seen on stage was during a Victor Wooten concert. He made one of the MC's (MC Divinity) appear in a box. 
The MC's were really annoying, but they weren't on stage the whole night. Victor Wooten playing with his brothers made up for it.

Watching Aerosmith in the 80's at Reunion Arena in Dallas was when I saw something stupid. THis was on the "Done with Mirrors" tour--after rehab, I guess.
Joe Perry, forgetting obviously that he'd aged a bit, jumped off a riser onto the stage. He played the rest of the gig on one foot. Later on, during the after show radio broadcast, I found out he'd suffered a hairline fracture in the leg. Still, he finished the show in true, pro style. Amazing show!

Worst thing I ever saw on stage was a band called "Live Sex Dolls" who opened for King's X here in NJ, at the Starland Ballroom. They have a dot-com. I won't post a link, but you can go look, if you really want the abuse.

That said, dumbest thing I've ever seen done on stage was the guy from Nirvana nearly knocking himself out cold by throwing his bass in the air, and clocking himself in the head with it. It's probably already been mentioned in this thread, but it sticks in my mind as about the dumbest thing ever...
