Not sure, volume is just passive control so that is odd. Let me know if this repeats.

Sam reported something similar to his BOD etched model but during our swapping of the pedal back and forth I never experienced it even when I did like a 4 hours burn in of the pedal. Not 100% sure why that would happen, nothing in the circuit seems like it should happen.

also if you can, tell me what triggers this issue. If it turns out to be a systemic issue I will need to provide a way to fix any units that are out in the wild so figuring out how causes it will be the first step to fixing it.

A bit of chatting with a user who has a similar issue with there BOD says that it happens on start up (power up) and does not always happen. This could be a latch up on one of more of the op amp stages. I have a simulated fix for this issue and I have 2 different customers sending back units for the fix to see if it will work. If any BOD user is experiencing this problem, do not hesitate to get in touch. We can setup an RMA so you can get this fixed.

Okay so some good news from last night. I built another BOD preorder and I put the fix resistor onto the board. I then power cycled the pedal 20 times and played it after each time where I tried all sorts of power up controlled settings. It never latched up and went into a glitch mode. So there are 2 possibilities here, either this unit does not have the issue inherently, or that the fix works. Either way that is good news. I will have some known BODs with issues coming in as early as Weds so I can try it out on that and report back.

I've found I'm enjoying a tad less gain with what I'm doing now, and using my technique more to control the gain, varying on dynamics, etc. That said, I'm interested in that aspect of the edison and also curious about less bass cut than the phuk, which I didn't think had much bass loss. I do find myself missing the large box da120, that had a special tone when pushed with the phuk B, the smaller version just doesn't have quite the same je ne sais whatever. Would love to push one with an edison.

Just thought you might want to check an ElectroFoods Germ Warfare if you find one. They aren’t plentiful. Good Germaium boost. More gain than a PPB. More EQ Control.

great pedal! I tried one a few months back. I find that I prefer gain pedals stacked with a boost before them. im really digging the Edison boost into the model fet.
