As for the fanny pack, during pledging this past year, all the pledglings had to wear fanny packs at all times. They were filled with Jolly Ranchers so everytime we saw one, we could get a Jolly Rancher. I bet Jeff Berlin loves Jolly Ranchers too.

I think that Jeff is a great bass player, but we really need to do something about the fanny pack. I really can't think of anything less cool than wearing a fanny pack.

I used to agree with you, until I started doing gigs out of the USA. When you're on tour you usually have to carry more "personal affects" than when you're tooling about in your home town, and, unless you live in Newark or Detroit, abroad you can encounter criminals with a level of audacity unlike anything Americans regularly see. A fanny pack is a simple way to deal with both these phenomena.

It still looks dorky as hell, but it is functional.
