I've had two different jazz guitarists plug into my iAmp micro 300 with CXL -110 rig, and we were amazed at how much better the guitar sounded. Rich, 3D tone that killed the little polytone or roland cube these guys were running.
The Intelligent Input Switching allows:
one instrument to toggle between 2 different EQ settings
2 instruments to toggle between each channel OR both (mic and piezo, student and teacher or two output WARR Guitar/Stick). You could even use acoustic guitar and vocal

First off I want to take a minute to correct the website (which of course I wrote).
The iAMP Pro is 1,200 watts at 4 ohms. Some of the numbers I wrote were based on preliminary testing and I need to edit the content. I appreciate you guys reading it so carefully and pointing it out. You make my life easier (except of course when I was an Ask the Pro here ;o))
All of the new amps are 2 ohm capable. We will list more info on the website, pending final testing.
In the Pro we do not believe that you will gain any more power at 2 ohms. In the Micro and Doubler we have added a small thermistor controlled fan that will kick on if the amp gets hot under extreme loads. At Namm we ran the Micro at 2 ohms all day and it barely broke a sweat.

This works wonderfully when playing gigs with two basses. Being able to poke one button and toggle the setup from the Upright Bass sound to the Fender Jazz sound is really nice. So is being able to leave both basses plugged in, and not have to change any cables when switching between them.
Mike-- how will the sound of the iAmp Pro compare to the iAmp Micro 300? I love the 300 for its size/weight and the dual channels, but I kind of miss the tubey warmth from other amps.
Due to,the added headroom of the Pro over the 500 or 800 as well as the Micro and Doubler over the Micro 300, the newer amps have a bit more warmth than their predecessors while retaining the clarity that these amps have come to represent

How long until you introduce a doubler that puts out 1,200w @4 ohms?
I think it would have made my life easier if the Pro wasn't able to do the 2 ohm load...now I have to have one. Curses....
Regarding the Doubler, after playing a head with a notch filter for a while, I find this feature nearly critical. Too many time I've come across rooms where one bully frequency dominates all the others.
A little notch at that frequency and they all play nice together.

hmm... this is too true. its the only reason i still have my AI focus. but then again, i NEVER leave home without my LR Baggs ParaDI. still, would be nice to have one less thing to carry.
unfortunately, this is not alleviating any GAS for an iAMP Pro.

Is that the same NAMM that has an 85dB SPL limit? What's that, a whole half a watt from the Micro? No wondering it wasn't breaking a sweat!

True. It's possible they went from .5 watt average output to 5 watts. Or maybe 50, if they really wanted hate ; }

We put it through some paces - not like at a gig. BTW the ambient SPL at NAMM is over 85dB w/o anyone even playing.
I think a Pro would sit nice on this
