Nice! The Fort used to have bands in parking lots, gravel lots, and back yards all the time. Great to see some of that spirit coming back, and great to see such a wide variety of bands.
ETTB GTG This Sunday!
Just a reminder to everyone that our third official ETTB GTG will take place this coming Sunday, April 7, 2013. The location is Trinity United Methodist Church in Morristown and the hours are 1 pm til 5 pm. I will provide a 6 ft long sub and ask that those attending who would like to eat bring along a two liter drink or a bag of chips to share. Our special guests include a blues guitarist who has toured with some blues legends, Billy Crawford. Also joining the fun will be the lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist and drummer of The Lost Creek Shakers, the classic rock band that I am with. Looking forward to sharing stories, gear and music with my East Tennessee Talkbass brethren! Directions are:
From the East: Take I81 South to Exit 8. Turn right to go North on 25E to the exit for Morris Blvd.(first exit past Walters State Community College and College Square Mall). Left onto Morris Blvd. then left onto Wilder St (beside Krystal). The church is at the top of the hill on the left.
From the West: take I40 East to I81 North to exit 8. Turn right onto Hwy 25E North. Go to the exit for Morris Blvd.(first exit past Walters State Community College and College Square Mall). Left onto Morris Blvd. then left onto Wilder St (beside Krystal). The church is at the top of the hill on the left.
Address for GPS is 425 Wilder Street, Morristown, TN.
At the church, take the first entrance and drive around to the back. The GTG will take place in the church multi-purpose room which is basically a gym with a kitchen and some sound deadening panels. Hope to see all of you there!

I can't make it...gotta work 6 to 3. Maybe next time. Sounds like I am missing out...big time! I would love to jam with those guys and meet everyone!

Jeff, a local bassist here has an Englehardt(sp?) for sale and he is coming to the GTG. I'll ask if he can bring it if you think you may have an interest. He may be planning to bring it anyway.

Looking at the map coming from the east it looks like Enka Hwy would be more direct. Is that not an exit or maybe too many stop lights that way?
You are correct, it's a little closer but one more turn. I'm pretty sure that's exit 12 to Hwy 160. North on 160 to 25E. North on 25E to Morris Blvd exit, etc
Hey guys, I have two old WT-800s that are from the good ole days of Eden (mid '90s) and I use them for my 2 rig setup powering two 3-way cabs. Anyways, one of them started making noise recently (loud scratchy noise sorta like a instrument cable shorting out sound). The sound is accompanied by the front panel lights flickering. I've eliminated cables, cabs, power supply, power cord, etc etc... replaced the tube also. The noise starts after the amp gets up to temp, about 10 minutes after I start playing thru it.
So.... any idea who I can trust to work on this amp locally? I can't replace these amps... Eden doesn't make them this way anymore. These are capable of 880watts mono at 8 ohms which is exactly what I need for the PA cabs I play thru (my cheap cab alternative that I stumbled upon

Might try Shane at British Audio Service in Nashville. Not exactly local but he may know someone in TYS. They're listed as an Eden service center. http://www.britishaudioservice.com/contact.php
Thanks, I checked Eden's website and the closest was an Alabama shop LOL. I think the website needs updating.

They also list a couple in KY that are about the same distance. BAS has a good rep. I've only used them once but unfortunately repair was cost prohibitive. But he didn't charge to check it out.
