I'm going to replace it with a 9.2 head. Not so much the power as much as it is I like the blackface aesthetics and readability. I was also missing my old 9.0!

Dr cabs are awesome, but I'm actually on the trail for something that would "play well" with these "kids".....
Don't know why nEarFul cabs with 3012LFs would not play well with Dingwalls and Phil Jones amplification! So what is this Wisconsin cabinetry that has you so entranced, Jeff?
Mike and I talked about him playing "Annie" for Oak Ridge Playhouse, but holiday scheduling prevailed and he wasn't able to do it. So.. I'm playing that classic, oater show (as it's called in the biz) for the third time. I played it at the Bijou in Knoxville in 2003 - for 19 performances - and then again at ORP in 2005.
It opens Thanksgiving eve and will play three weekends. For more info, tickets, and scheduling, it's www.orplayhouse.com.
Jeff. if you don't buy my Dr.Bass cabs (for a song!), then I fully expect you and Laurel to come out for an "Annie" performance! Actually, either way, bro! The show band will be playing out in the auditorium, so that is a huge plus.
And oh yeah, I have every intention of shanghai'ing Mike for a future show there! Ha!
"Annie" is the ninth musical in a row that Oak Ridge has produced that I've played.. an ongoing record both for me at one venue and for Oak Ridge for one bassist. It's an incredible blessing and opportunity. I'm very thankful. I'd love for the brethren of ETTB to come out and catch a show, and come up and say hello before it starts, at intermission, afterwards.. whenever! It's a very casual, but professional atmosphere there.
I anticipate using the Genz 9.2 / Shuttle 12T combo and most likely the elusive Epiphone Zenith fretless. I think we're going to run this show with a six-piece show band, from my last conversations with the music director.

Michael, make sure you keep posting reminders about the shows, next couple of months will be very busy.....
The cab in question is a twin for my 16B, I would buy it now, but getting it here is problematic...not going to fret over it, if it's meant to be I will find a way....it's hard not to think about 40 of the PJB 5inch speakers without my hands getting a little sweaty though...

If you have not been to the Sara Jordan event in the past, it's a fun fun night. 12 or 13 bands each playing 4-5 songs each so you only get the peak of all of them, Smoky Mtn Blues Society sponsors and there are always 150-200 people in the crowd.
State Street Rhythm Section playing a whole night of Tower of Power/Average White Band style funk at Pres Pub Wed 11/13.

Jeff, I'm having trouble envisioning any more bottom end than you already have with that rig. It is a massive wall of low end that would make any bass player drool. But putting sound aside, I truly get the idea of doing it just because the thought is staggering.

It started out thinking it would be nice to have spare speakers in case they were ever needed (doubtful) and then I got to picturing the entire stack with 40 hungry little Piranhas at my disposal....
After a call to Phil Jones, it sealed the deal in my mind at least. Not only will the M500 head handle that many, it can handle even more. The head is designed to be capable of dropping all the way down to a 2 ohm load, but I will probably stop at 40 x 5 lol......
