i'd go for it, ina few years it will enter in the extremely rare rare basses zone and a few more will let you in the vintage zone, however i would ask for higher res. pics to see the overall shape, even the get it now price of 2500 USD might be a good deal if the neck is straight.

but the downside is that older thumbs were really ugly and looked (at last the 4's) amorph.

Those are sellers he bought from that you're looking at. He only has 3 buyer feedback where the auction is still active but they're from half.com
