Hey, keko, not an owner here, but I know the bass and I definitely know the shop owner from TMS (tko ne bi Juru prepoznao...). :D

Nice purchase there. I like to think of myself a control freak, but how do you handle all the buttons and knobs?

Hi dude,

I'll check Your profile later, ...obviously we speak the same language! ;)

However, ...all buttons and knobs are very intuitive placed and You can use them very fast and precise!
With new bass comes a transparent sticker with explanation of all knobs'n'buttons! There are also at the official EBMM site wiring diagrams for all EBMM basses, so You can download it as .pdf file for any bass model!

Well, ...it seems that RX basses are arrived on stock in stores around the world, ...so while we are waiting for a new owners who could recognize a new "Boss" in the class, I would like to introduce You a first prototype of EBMM reflex bass (after 25th, before serial RX production):

It's RX 5 HH prototype in Lamborghini orange color made for Randy Jackson. I don't know what happen with that one later, ...'cause this color is not in official color chart, ...well, ...yet?

Hey Chris - sounds good aye! While i know all of it sounds good, the inside coils just speak to me and I ALWAYS end up going back there, no matter what style i am playing at the time.

Although, I am playing through a TC Electronic classic 450, which doesn't have a huge amount of borttom end, so if I am playing a tune that is heavy on the B string, I have an 'active' setting ready to go which has a low boost and slight mid scoop. Just press the button and a complete different tone is ready and waiting!

I'm patiently waiting for a black reflex HH with maple board to make itself known to me...
Oh yes, I will own one some day!

You'll probably come across one sooner if you just order one and wait the 4 months to have it made. The Reflex is probably the poorest seller of all Music Man basses so retailers are less likely to order them (but that hardly means it's inferior by any means). The Perfect Bass and Bass Central haven't ordered any new ones for quite some time.

I doubt that particular orange makes it to the official color chart because orange sells probably slightly less robustly than, say, green. Both colors I adore, mind you, but if retailers don't order them, we don't get to snap them up like rabid dogs.

That said, wouldn't you love to see that one with the HSS configuration? That would be totally bad-ass.

Agreed about the HSS config..
I want one of the Funky Orange ones with an Ebony fretboard...matching headstock please :)
And make mine ALL Orange body. Not black on the back, orange on the front.
aaaaand maybe one of those cool faux lizard cases like my 2008 LE ray has tossed in for good measure...hahaha!!
Hey? A guy CAN dream right? :rollno:

Well, I'm really sorry to hear about orange bases as a non wanted, ...if that orange was available when I was ordering mine, I'd play orange RX today!

Anyway, I still believe that reflex time will come, sooner or later! :smug:

Since I presented mine on some domestic forums, people was amazed, ...many of them would like to have one, but unfortunately there are none on the stock to try one and it's a bad recession here in my region, ...people mostly buy a second hand bases right now for miserable prices!

Only Musicman basses are best sellers as 2nd hand here! :)

One more problem, ...most of experienced musicians here still think that only Stingray is a Musicman, ...that's because they never tried a Bongo, reflex or Big Al unfortunately!

Everyone who tried my EBMM RX was amazed so far, jaw dropped! :D
I have just one gig today before a winter Holly-days, so I'll try to record an amateur demo video clip soon and share it over the YouTube service, ...You know guys, my last Sterling 5 HS video made people crazy around the world for that bass model, ...I still don't know why :eyebrow:, ...it was pretty amateur, but bass tone was great, ...people could recognize a good stuff, even when used from semi-pro bass player like me!

Cheers,

Keko
