I am trying to figure out exactly which finish that is. You keep dipping your toe in the water, you will eventually fall in.
It’s very dark red or wine sort of color.

My "custom" StingRay Special (Laguna Green with SLO 1.5" nut neck) is being transported by UPS as I type this. I won't be home for the delivery (Tuesday) but I will get it to see it Friday night when I get there. I put in the order with EBMM August 7th, and they shipped on October 26th. They estimated four months to build and it took less than three.
Congratulations. Make sure you post again when it arrives to tell us how it is and pics as well.

I just bought GC exclusive Burnt Apple 4H in August
I had almost bought (had in cart) a Burnt Apple Special in 2019 December
The GC re-release of Finish has matching headstock 2019 version did not

The neck on my EBMM SR5 (non-Special series) is my favorite neck. Has anyone played the older basses that can comment on the Special roasted maple necks? There seems to be no, or almost no finish on my bass and I love it. But, I keep seeing these roasted necks and they look incredible.
A typical special also has an unfinished neck. There are a few that do - Kintetic Blue BFR had matching blue on the neck/headstock, but the typical special is unfinished.
