EBMM StingRay Special Club

This is the color I’m Gaga over :)

The center position has grown on me a lot in the last few months. I just wish it wasn't lower output than the other positions. It's not a lot quieter but is noticeable.
And that’s mainly what I was referring to when I said I had decided to work with that position more. Including bumping input gain up a bit. I’m really liking that tone, though.

It’s funny I have to rework my whole perception of the switches since upgrading. On my Sterling both pickups was way too hot and so I always avoided position 3.

I have the old Olive Gold color. It’s a dark green with gold sparkles. But it isn’t a Special.
Here's an old reverb listing (not mine) with some good pictures. Not super sparkly. Rather subtle...

I do like that colour too. I had a matte olive green special for a brief time that I now regret selling. Fortunately, I did sell it locally and if the guy ever decides to sell it I'm hoping he gives me first crack as I have asked him about it since selling it.

... and that BFR (at least I think it's a BFR?) fretless!

That neck .... whew! :woot:

I guess actually all 3 of those are BFRs. Funnily enough, at this point I have 7 EBMM basses. 4 of which are BFR, 2 are from the Vault and 1 is a 25th anniversary reflex, so a pretty unusual collection. And a USA sub bass I've been working on in my garage since last summer in an attempt to make a MM jazz bass.
