There was one of these in the classifieds yesterday. My wife gave me the go ahead.
Then the seller changed his mind. I'm going to try talking her into the couple hundred more for a BRAND NEW one.
Sometimes I don’t need my amp if we are using their PA. Yes I have a smaller combo .
Congratulations! Of all the new colors, this is my favorite! I'd love to see better pictures of it.
Unfortunately , this one is going back. It is way more dark green/emerald like in person. I was expecting a lighter shade with more blue. Pretty , just not for me.

I have been tracking the weight of SR's for a couple years and the lightest I've ever seen was 7 lbs. 11 ounces.
7 lbs. 8 ounces would be a world record! If I could only try a Special...
Might have to follow yours on Sweetwater; would it be discounted as a return?
I can’t say for sure . It’s was light and sounds great. I just can’t do that color. Watch for it. If you want I can pm you my sales reps name and you can call and request it upon arrival back.
if you like green , you will love it. I already dropped it off at FedEx.
One would think the production colors will al be exactly the same and that the photo was either not super accurate color wise, or that was the pre-production color choice.

I was SUPER happy that I didn't get swept away by any of the new colour options - whew, dodged a bullet.
Also note - it's JUST because I am not 'cool' enough to pull them off.
I snagged a new raspberry burst with ebony board and that's as 'wild' as I could ever go...and in person, it's almost a raspberry red with black outer burst. Still tame by most peoples standards lol
So sorry to hear of @LadyLoveStingRay5 getting a new bass with a less than expected colour - I am sure you have something else up your sleeve

Looked much lighter in the photo Sweetwater sent me. Could have been the lighting . It’s more emerald and darker. It really clashed with the gold hardware .
Someone else might love it.My eyes did not.

Sorry to hear it didn’t work out but I’m loving your new burst - beautiful. Now as for for blue sparkle, you definitely need aqua sparkle if you love blue
That’s beautiful . That was my very first Special in that finish with 5HH configuration.
I didn’t care for the black hardware or the ebony. .
Yeah, chances are you may get the same color again. I would still like a group photo of what you got though.I don’t think so……

Probably so. I just think my pics from the store showed up much lighter for some reason. The one in the classifieds is spot on. If you compare the pics I posted with those, you can see the difference.
I’m so happy with the new Purple sunset and my custom that is being built, I’m not at all upset.
Congrats on the bass! I think this color might be the best of the new colors IMO, perhaps one of EBMM's prettiest!
