EBMM StingRay Special Club

Keep searching. Another will turn up. Just make sure you don't buy the same one if it gets recycled back through sellers and buyers.
Yeah I’ll have to look for another source. I just returned it to my local Guitar Center and they hung it on the wall and it’s right back in the system. At least they didn’t give me a hassle about it it was pretty painless.

Happy 'early' Bday!

(I am tomorrow).. 54 yrs old tomorrow and 25th wedding anniversary - in 1999, I thought it was a great idea to do b-day/wedding...I should have given that more thought haha
In 1987 I thought it was a great idea to marry my wife on her birthday. It didn't take very long for me to realized that wasn't the greatest idea.

Long time TB’er. I don’t do a lot of posting but often visit this thread to see all of the beautiful Rays. I’ve owned many Stingrays over the years dating back to 99’ when I bought my first Stingray 5. I’ve even owned a 5 string neck through version and older version of the 5HH, along with a Bongo bass 5.

This SR 5HH Special I bought here on Talkbass in Oct. 2023 is my favorite Stingray to date. The tonal options with the 5 way switch and the preamp/pickup redesign from the older versions sound great. The roasted maple neck is fantastic and fits my hand perfectly. I took it to a recording session last week and we loved the results. It worked really well for the tone we wanted.

My Bongo PDN Neptune 5 I owned would be my second favorite Ernie Ball product I’ve owned (I know it’s not a Stingray).

I hope you all are enjoying yours as much as I’m enjoying mine.

I, regretfully no longer own the Bongo. I sold it 5-6 years ago here on TB but here are some pictures along with the Stingray 5HH Neck through I had.

Man, looking at those pictures of the Bongo I wish I would have never sold it!

We certainly are. And one of the best things about this "club" is that we also enjoy each others basses and especially each other's joy over their basses as much as we enjoy our own.

Talk about BLUETIFUL !!!! That Bongo is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. You might have to hunt that one down. Wow!!!

It was a looker and sounded great! I might have to see if I can find another. I was not a big fan of painted necks that the normal Bongos came with at the time and found this beauty. The fb had some amazing flame to it.

I agree. I think that’s one of their most well executed Bongo’s to date IMO. I know they’ve had some other beautiful BFR but that Neptune blue was a stunner with the transparent finish. Flame maple fretboard and roasted neck finished it off nicely.
