They both look good, but I'll have to go with black. It matches the pickup covers, fret markers and lettering on the headstock. Plus black and gold just always looks awesome.

PS: Even the gold screws and pole pieces stand out beautifully .

Thanks. Finish is "candyman" and stock. Strangely, you cannot get it through their custom shop.

That is one stunning bass! I really love this and the Genius Gold; but prefer this one because it comes with that maple board which is absolutely perfect for it.

I love White Pearl; but for me, the black guard just gives it the perfect finishing touch. Congrats on a true stunner...

Thanks! I also like the black pickguard but unfortunately I no longer have it as it was only briefly on that bass after I took it off another Stingray I used to have. I ended up selling the other one and put the black pickguard back on it so that it was back to stock. Here is the bass with the black pickguard (which was an awesome bass that I now regret letting go of):

You can’t go wrong because this bass is liquid gold! I’m always a fan of the pearl but I like how the black accents the pole piece.

I'm usually a white pearl fan so I can't believe I'm saying this, but ... I really like the black, at least based on the pictures. The black one seems to make both the color and the sparkle pop more than the white pearl does.
