EBMM StingRay Special Club

Played the new 5HH on two gigs this week... I know this may sound strange but I am using position 4 more than the classic Ray/bridge thing. Is that normal? For anyone? I still use that (and to a lesser extent, the others), but I really love the position 4 because it's so damn meaty. Just think it's funny I got this because I love the Ray sound so much and wanted more, too, but I'm really diggin' the 'more'.

I’ve really been digging position 1 on my 5HH just the neck pickup sounds fantastic

Played the first gig with my new Special 5. What a great bass! I‘m very happy that I pulled the trigger and bought it.
Here are some impressions:

Thanks! I also like the black pickguard but unfortunately I no longer have it as it was only briefly on that bass after I took it off another Stingray I used to have. I ended up selling the other one and put the black pickguard back on it so that it was back to stock. Here is the bass with the black pickguard (which was an awesome bass that I now regret letting go of):

Mine is a 4 string, but I find myself preferring positions 3 and 4. I play along with Spotify every day if I'm not jamming with friends. I switch around between all 5 positions, sometimes in the same song. But 3 and 4 are my current favorites.

1, 3, 5 & in between these settings are all useful for me.

I can get use out of all of the setting truth be told. It’s a great bass design.
