EBMM StingRay Special Club

I hate relics LOL
You are in luck and can save some shekels! There is an unreliced option, which is cheaper than the super-fancy-reliced version.

Shame it is missing a string, but the fretless sounds fantastic. Probably doesn't hurt that Pino is demoing it. I'm not in the market, but I bet it is sweet.

Wonder how many they made, says sold out. Pretty cool bass, and I know why, but Id rather have the truss wheel at the heel.

Just got photos of my new pickguard from Spitfire. Never been so excited for a pickguard!

A friend of mine did refinish of his green Special (don't ask me why). I just wanted to share a pic of bare bass - to let you see how nice are woods even under solid finishes. Kudos to EB.
That looks fantastic! They should re-release the classic natural finish in general, not just as an option in CDE.

New bass day! And I finally join the Stingray Special club 😀

This is a custom build from the CDE. Blue Dream finish, black hardware, ebony fretboard, flamed roasted maple neck.

Blue Dream really is the right way to describe this. It's absolutely stunning. I've only played it for a short while since it arrived but I think this is the most comfortable bass I've ever played. Instant favourite. It's so light as well. I picked it up out of the case and was amazed at the weight. Unfortunately I don't have anything to weigh it with so can't tell you what the actual weight is, but it's definitely lighter than my Spector Euro LX4 😄.

I put the order in for this on 3rd April, got the notification that UPS were picking it up on 22nd May. A bit quicker than I expected. I'm in the UK, and the box arrived in the UK Friday night, right before a public holiday, so it sat (I'm guessing) in customs for a few days, but yesterday it finally started moving and today it finally arrived, 2 days earlier than UPS originally estimated.

I'm really really happy with this!

This is almost what I was hoping for when I ordered a Pacific Blue Burst. Looks like the back of the bass is fully black though right? That might be the turn off for me that prevents me from ordering a SRS

Yep, the back is just black with the Blue Dream finish. I don't mind it as that's against my body anyway.

I still have a "wow" every time I look at this thing on the stand!
