Yesterday I recorded bass at home for the nu metal band I play with. It's part of the track in which I recorded the bass with Stingray 5 HH Raspberry, Cali76 v2 Bass Compressor, DCX BASS and SansAmp BDDI v2.
So… here’s a question for all of you…
If you plug your bass in… and you scratch the bridge with your finger nail… does the sound of your scratching come through your amp? Cuz mine sure does.

My SR5 arrived today. Boy is it nice! Subtle, but pretty figuring on the neck & fretboard. Super lightweight (8lb 7oz). Great low action. Classic Stingray tone. It’s a really, really good one.
I can’t wait for the vintage pearl guard to arrive. It’s going to look great… and it’ll get it as close to this bass as I can find in a fiver.
My trio has starting doing a little home recording, and I used my SS4 HH for the session. I recently put GHS pressure wound strings on this bass, and let me tell you, I’m loving my tone. I play this bass pretty exclusively in position three, both pickups on full, with the mid control at max, just a touch of boost in the bass, and the treble cut back about 30%. The tone is so punchy and defined. This bass is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Thanks, greatly appreciated. I’m not the biggest slap guy and was hesitant to post that clip. I find it a bit sloppy. But I thought it was a decent representation of the slap tone with the new strings and bass eq and pickup settings.
I was referring, though, to "Positions #2 and #2."
Another 'Ray in da house. 2011, dead mint Classic SR4. Had another that I sold, partially regretted it...than, I luckily found and immediately grabbed this one (plays even better).
