I think the important message from CIDRAP is, folks working in close proximity to (known) Ebola infected persons deserve the best possible PPE gear; such as the PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) instead of the standard-issue N 95 mouth & nose filter. This (N 95 mask) has been indicated to be inadequate for use in high-risk environments such as a hospital where aerosol particulates are known to be present.
The poor nurses at Dallas Presbyterian were not afforded the proper protection, and paid the price, imo.

That video was shot in Dallas, at Presbyterian hospital, fwiw.

I think a lot of people (me included) have some fear that there could be a real epidemic of Ebola, I know I've been making some terrible jokes about what would happen if there were a pandemic with my friends (yes I do have some RL friends!) I would like to keep bleeding from my eyes off of my to do list.

"Yes, Canada. We hear they are beginning human testing of a vaccine that is very effective on animals and now the focus is discovery of side effects in humans. Results should be complete in early December.
You see in Canada, they collected Ebola to study at the last African breakout. They did it just for the sake knowledge fully understanding that the potential for profit was low as it was viewed an African problem and it wasn't a big market for vaccine.
As an American, we can't let the laughable socialized medical system up there look better than our superior profit driven system. We need someone to go up and spread Ebola and kill those pesky Canucks off before this vaccine gets approved and makes us look like horses patooties."
Nurse: "I haven't heard anything about a Canadian vaccine on CNN or CNBC."
"Of course not, you don't think we'd let that information out in America do you? What are you, a pinko? Good day sir, I say GOOD DAY!"

The lack of suit probably was a 50% contributor. The other half was due to a complete lack of training. These suits can't protect you if you touch an exposed portion as you remove it.
