What about the fact that one must be flat on their back and at death's door before they become infectious? Hardly describes a man walking through an airport no? The guy in Texas went to the hospital under his own steam and even though he was misdiagnosed and sent home, he was feeling bad enough to seek medical attention but was not yet contagious. Now, when he came back the hospital in an ambulance he was highly contagious and all safety measures were taken. From what I read every hospital employee who had any contact with him on his first visit has been tested and is clean, so any casual contact prior to that would also be no cause for alarm, unless one was prone to enjoy an excuse to ring the alarm bell.
Oh and BTW, CNN is nothing more than the left handed version of the tin foil hat report.
And yes we have equal access to the same info. The difference is in the info we choose to believe, and call me silly but I tend to think of any commercial news outlet as being in the news entertainment industry instead of the impartial journalism business. The goal of every so called news outlet these days is not to dispassionately disseminate information, it is to cater to preconceived notions in order to retain market share, so unless we both use the same news entertainment outlets, our individual mileage will most definitely vary.

Duncan Carried an Ebola Patient to treatment while he was in Africa. He then lied at the airport about ever being exposed to Ebola.
And he's going to be prosecuted for lying.

There's a huge difference between acknowledging 'reasonable' risk (as there is with Ebola) and illogical, unfounded fear.
It's spreading - relatively fast. The number of new cases reported is growing significantly. You don't need to know that much more to be fearful.
It will not spread like that in our country. We have doctors and medical facilities here. They don't have that in Liberia.

Huh? They have doctors and medical facilities in Liberia. But they are overrun with all the thousands of Ebola victims.
Several African nations have restricted or banned air travel from Ebola-stricken countries, and airlines including Kenya Airways, British Airways, Air Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria's Arik Air have suspended flights from the countries.
If the US doesnt act soon (screening West African air travellers) , it will be bad.

Some people just need things to be terrified of. I prefer to accept that I can't control everything, and not to fear things out of my control. But I refuse to live a life moving from one paranoid scenario to another, always seeking the worst case and places to lay blame. Chances are the stress and worry will kill you long before Ebola or the collapse of fiat currencies.
