Quite a stretch to bring PC nonsense into a subject like this.

Maybe quarantining everyone from West Africa for 20 days is not the most practical or possible solution.

Elsewhere in this thread; conspiracies, evil Mexican immigration, doomsday scenarios and other irrelevant nonsense.

Lap it up, not enough fear in the world.

Not all of us live in the Swiss Alps. Some of us are a little closer to the threat, which might explain the 'concern' folks are expressing in this thread.

W.H.O. says Ebola will claim 20,000 lives in the next six months – exhibiting characteristics it could go pandemic ( http://theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com/)

Pandemic is a really big word. I'm certain the World Health Organization would not throw it around casually.

Yeah, right. Geneva, where I work, is the seat of almost every international organization in the world, and a transit point for millions of travelers from Africa every year. We have a large African born immigrant population with many receiving visitors and many returning to visit constantly.

What we do not have is a hysterical media machine that constantly feeds a gullible public reasons to be suspicious and fearful of, well, everything.

Try again.

I confess, i had never considered Switzerland as a focal transit point for millions of African travelers. Im not being facetious.. really, this is an eye-opening revelation for me. And I thank you for pointing it out.

Still, I think the concerns of U.S. citizens are not unfounded. The Liberian man had contact with many many people before he was properly diagnosed with Ebola. And all those people had contact with others., and so on, and so on,,

So, ya, were a bit concerned.
