EBS Stan-Wah?

Might be time for me to get another Wah

I can't wait. I like my 105q too, and I'm in the same boat- Not perfect- I want something with out a spring return and the filter modes are a big draw for me. I'd been looking for a WahOne for a couple months in a specific price range, and as soon as I found one.. same day I read here about the StanWah, so I didn't get the WahOne. I rarely buy new, but I'll be ordering one here in the near future.
Yes it does...in the Hi-Q mode. That is kind of a manual controlled (with the foot) envelope filter.

It might be a lowpass with a high q, but it's not an envelope follower (or filter), because it is in no way envelope controlled. What you're describing applies to every wah ever made!

probably around $200 US street in the USA, maybe $250 depending how much stanley's grinning mug cost them, but if I can get one for 199 i'm all over it
The wording is probably as it is just because of that. See, the Alembic didn't actually have his name on it, the ebs pedal got a fat signature right on the front.
I think the distinction is that Alembic does not engage "sponsored" or "supporting" artists. They made a bass for Stanley, that became known as the Stanley Clarke model, but you will never see Stanley's smiling face in an Alembic ad, trying to sell you one. Nor does Alembic pay Stanley. In the EBS ad though, his skin tone really sets off the red of the pedal.
i think that doesn't count!!! alembic states that they don't make any signatur insturment and that they never gave any instrument to an artist for free... every one had to buy their instruments them selfs... so they state...
i am guessing that the relation of names to some of alembic instruments is just that they make soem models that are close to some famouse artist but it never is the same.
still bumpin to see if anyone had a chance to try this

+1, I'm really looking forward to the StanWah too... I've always dug my 105Q, but the StanWah has more to it and can even fuction as a volume pedal when the wah is switched off, which I really dig. I've been thinking about getting a volume pedal anyway!
