I asked him about that and he said it wouldn't happen 'cuz there was no one to sponsor it. If we really wanted to, we could always start a pool, I guess. I for one have always been interested to hear his opinion on the T-40.

my .02 is that the Mechanical dude is just a troll trying to get a rise.

Ed's teaching materials, whether book or dvd, have been a big help to me and may other folks around the world. Gonna go home this eve and continue my effort to get through the Bass Improvisation book.

Groovy player and fine soloist for certain. Thanks Ed.

Agreed. But I think that's OK. There's plenty of bashing that goes on. It's nice to hear "just the facts" and get a nice demo. I still want almost anything I hear him demo.

I have known Ed for a while and have always dug his playing and he's a nice and respectful person. I really like what he was doing on his 6 string in the first video posted in this thread.

Ed seems to be very keen at balancing the abilty to be a well rounded and sincerely talented player, clinician and teacher and I wish him the best and many years to come for his contribution to bass is much appreciated not just by me but many more.

I have on occasion recommended Ed's books to my students over the years and will continue to do so.

Yeah, I'll be back in production mode this fall, just a few more pieces of the puzzle to put in place before I get started. Thanks for all the kind words, and support.

Like before, if you have requests for specific items, you'll have to lobby the mfg. as it's ultimately their call. But in this next round, I will only be taking on pieces that I'm personally interested in. Whatever it is, I have to see it as useful to me, or I'm not going to take the time to demo it. So, as always - don't consider them "reviews", they are demos. From this point on, if you see it in my hands, you can assume it's something I like.
