The general answer has been no, with most people saying that the main deterent for trying one out being the person selling it, which is a valid arguement. They do seem like a great bas for the price if everything he says about them is true, but based on how nobody on TB, or for that mater, nobody they know, has ever even seen or played one says a lot. The basses may have a high build quality or not, but even Wish, with all of his detractors, has a higher percentage of satisfied customers than Ed Roman. IMO your question was answered, with a little background on why the answer is no.
In fact I would bet that if you ever met me face to face you would not want to fight me, at least not right away anyway.
