I have had an Eden METRO since the late 90's that I pair with a 2/10XLT for small gigs, and a 4/10T for a 6/10 configuration for larger outdoor gigs. I have many other bass amps that I truly love, but one thing I always remember. My Eden equipment has paid for every piece of equipment I own, and as new fads come and go, my Eden rigs will always stay with me as they have more sentimental value and memories than any other piece of equipment I own. NEVER FORGET WHO BRUNG YA!!! Number please!;)

Please count me in. I recently purchased a 'new' WT550. I say new, because it was a return and the previous buyer scratched it up a bit. (I'm guessing from racking)

It was one of those things where I was trying something else out in the shop and a WT550 just happened to be set up for demoing. As a plus, it was set up to connect with various Epifani cabs, which is what I use. Over the course of a couple of hours on two separate occasions I was struck by the warmth plus clarity - if that makes any sense - of this head. I didn't 'need' a new head (like that has anything to do with anything) but I didn't really want the spend the money just now. Then, the owner of the store told me about the discounted price due to the scratches. One thing let to another and I ended up getting it.

I have been very pleased with the sound of this head so far. There are two minor nits about it though. The master volume is a bit noisy, which surprises me for such a new head. The other is the fan. I don't play all that loud in rehearsal, but it is obviously loud enough for the fan to come on. However, within a few seconds after I stop playing - it shuts off. It's racked with free space over it and is driving an Epifani UL410 - 4 ohm. It just seems a bit sensitive to me. I really do like the sound though, and I've owned a ton of gear over the years.

A tip on the master volume thing: it's only noisy if you turn it while playing a note. I've learned to just adjust it, play a test note, mute the note, adjust it again, repeat.

Last year I purchased an Eden 410xlt and a 210xst(each are 4 ohms) I didn't have the cash for an Eden head at the time so picked up an Ashdown ABM900EVOII (575x2) instead. For large settings I use the above, for smaller settings I use the 210xst with the Ashdown , but it makes strange sound at higher volumes..So off to total Eden I go, and here is the question. I ran accross a WT1250B for around $1250.00 new. What is the B about and can the 210xst handle it on its own?

A factory B model is something that certain distributors refer to as factory refurbished with 100% of the factory warranty. I am still wondering if the WT1250 would be ok to use with my 4ohm 210xst (only)for smaller gigs. The 800 looks really good also, but I am not sure about what it will give me in comparison to the 1250 when pushing 210xst/410xlt(4ohm) cabs together.

What he's saying is that the WT1250 is a "power amplifier" NOT a bass head? the 1250 has NO pre-amp... it's just a stereo power amp.

If you're wanting a similarly power Eden Bass HEAD, you need to get either a WT800, or, if you want a dual channel head with a few more extra features, go the WT1205.

I prefer the 800 over the 1205 personally.

Thank You Bass Collector, that info was very helpful, that makes my choice a little easier. One more thing, can the 4ohm 210xst handl the power or do I need a smaller head for that?
