Effects that turn bass into a lead instrument

This might end up being easier than I thought. I just wrote a song using fuzz, chorus and wah. By the end of the year I'll have enough saved to get a bigger amp (I might have a chance at a Sunn soon) and some effects. Big muff, memory boy, and crybaby will be just over three hundred if that's what I go for. I'm still torn between a memory boy and a clone theory though.

Alright the FINAL final tally.

Dunlop Original Crybaby
Electro-Harmonix Big Muff
Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory
Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano

I've been looking at vids all over youtube with these effects and it sounds like what I'm using on my Me-50B and more.

My freaky add-on board that I sometimes chain to my standard little setup has a Heliotrope, Flanger and Slow Volume. When that Heliotrope is on, you're definitely gonna be noticed. It's a recent acquisition and I'm kinda hooked.
