Darkglass VMT. It's the only overdrive that I've really bonded with. Had a bunch of others that were ok, but the VMT just sits perfectly in the mix.
My guitar player said after a show that it sounded really good but it got a little loud when engaged. Before the next show at sound check I played him with VMT on and off and he was in agreement that it was unity and they were same volume. Had him go out front during the show and listen and he asks me later if I was sure I didn't turn the volume up on it a little.
