I picked one up, tried it last night and I love it. It’s knocked my BSW out. I didn’t think it tracked too bad actually, really love all the options on the wheel.

EHX Bass Mono Synth

I’ve had mine for a while now and I’m still trying to get it dialed right for my preference. Dollar to weight ratio on this pedal is solid. It costs next to nothing and has a ton of versatility. I wish it was set up like the POG 2 as for presets and options to control via a slider. I had a Synth 9 for a while and never bonded with it as well as I have the Mono Synth. Maybe because I play in C standard and it tracked crappy on the lower strings.
While I find it’s lacking I. Some regards, it’s strength’s far outnumber its shortcomings. All this and I got it for $100.00. Money well spent in my opinion even if it serves no other purpose than I can sit around and make laser beam sounds and pretend I have a Moog Taurus before my guitar player gives me the stink eye.
Has anyone had much luck with the expression out on this? I have an expression pedal set up on mine and don’t get a ton of play out of it on some of the settings it seems to do nothing but go from super low bassy sound then it barely makes a noticeable difference to my ears on my practice setup. Some settings are more noticeable with the expression pedal. I have it set up on a TRS cable going into a DOD Mini Expression pedal. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong here or not.

The manual lists what the expression does (if anything) on each preset. There are a couple it does nothing.

@mannysilvers I'm looking at the Mono Synth and worndering if it does a single output that is a blend of input signal and effected signal.

You can adjust the volumes of the dry and synth components separately so yes, you can have a single signal with whatever blend you like.
The synth output is the blended signal using the dry and synth volume controls... the dry output is the uneffected dry signal. So the answer to your question is yes, it does a single output that is a blend of input signal and effected signal.
I see that there are dry and effected outputs, and a blend control. My question is- is there a single 1/4" output for the blended output? Which one is it?
Oh, and there isn't a blend control... you produce the blended signal using the dry and synth individual volume knobs. That blended signal goes to the synth output. The dry output is simply your dry signal which bypasses the processing stage altogether, I don't think it is effected by any controls.
I think it's a fun pedal with some usable sounds,I've been using an exp pedal.Would love to couple this with the Earthquaker Rainbow machine.Could be interesting.
I finally got to try one of these this weekend and with a passive bass, I couldn't get it to track better than about 50% of the notes played. Maybe it's better with an active bass, but for me it's not worth the money

tracking isn't an issue with for me, and 95% of my basses are passive.
That and not having the sensitivity set properly.
Another thing I mentioned a while back:
If your bass is not setup well or you have your action super low,
artifacts from fret buzz and/or fret clank will certainly false trigger the pedal.
Mine tracks well with my kit jazz bass with Wilkerson pickups so that's my choice when using the bass synth. My music man doesn't handle it so I think you need passive single coil for best results. It's been tracking so well with the jazz that I haven't bothered trying my 2 humbucker equipped basses or my 2 active models. If you have multiple axes try them because it makes a difference.
