EHX Focus: Your favorite Electro-Harmonix pedals

Xo qtron without a doubt. The only other one I've kept is the hog, but I rarely use it; should sell the thing. I just can't bring myself to do it. It's something about having the best helps me sleep at night... dunno... But, yeah- qtron. Sold it and bought another one.

I've owned a lot of EHX pedals over the years. Two of my favorites are on my pedalboard now: the POG2 and Stereo Electric Mistress.

Other favorites not presently owned:
Stereo Clone Theory
Bass Micro Synth
Bass Big Muff
Freeze
Stereo Pulsar
Stereo Polyphase

The Pulsar and Clone Theory are on the re-acquisition list. ;)

Have you had a chance to play with your Epitome yet? It looks like a very interesting pedal. I would love to hear about it how you are likening it.

The only EHX pedal I currently have on my board is the BMS. I really love it and it is my most fun and also most used effect (I use it for a variety of synth sounds in a coverband). I learned to set the sliders quickly and accurately so I have no problems with it in a live context, but a version with presets would indeed be much more attractive for the BMS beginner. I would also buy one if they ever decide to make it!

I have used:
- small stone nano: loved it, great sound, but didn't need any phaser anymore so sold it.
- #1 echo: good pedal, but way too limited controls for my needs (I need tap tempo and different time signatures), so I sold it.
- LPB1: really liked it, but don't need it anymore, so sold it.
- BBM: ok sound, but disliked the lack of volume control in the dry mode, so I modded it. I don't need a fuzz at the moment, so it's not on the board. I kept it though, so if I need a fuzz in the future I can quickly use the BBM again, and then probably replace it with another better sounding fuzz later on.

I really like my micro synth a LOT. my family not so much... I tend to practice at whisper volume on the living room couch at night and my wife and daughter give me these eat Sh.t looks whenever I switch it on. still haven had a chance to rehearse with it yet though.

It may be useless to most pedal junkies, but I wish they had included a gate/trigger output as well. With that one additional feature they woudl expand the usefulness of that product beyond just CV-ing pedals with expression inputs. Then you could use the 8 step to control analog synths,which would make the 100 presets worth the cost of the additional footpedal box.

I've only been tempted by and also bought the Small Stone (nano) so I'll have to say that's my favourite then. :)

While it's really good at the one thing it does I think it's a bit too nice, i.e. the effect could be a bit more pronounced to cut through in the mix.
