EHX Micro POG vs. Nano POG

anybody compared the Micro Pog vs. Nano Pog? I was reading somewhere that the Nano Pog got an "updated octave algorithm" and "better tracking" ... i still can´t decide which Pog to buy, mainly interested in octave UP ... or better go for the EHX Pitchfork?

They don't sound exactly the same... the nano seems to be a little out of tune to my ears compared to the micro.

can't comment on the nano, but I love my Micro. I used it on bass, guitar, and pedal steel. It's proven to be a very valuable piece of gear.

the Nano is less glitchy for sure. I can't comment for the out of tune-ness in that video. I didn't have that impression when playing. Unfortunately I sold the micro before getting the Nano, because I couldn't fit it on my board anyway. From what I remember, the Micro was more aggressive sounding and the Nano more organ/synth sounding. I was a bit surprised, because I would have expected them to sound the same.

At the 3:50 mark the line that he plays on the Nano does sound out of tune compared to the same line played on the Micro at about 4:14. It hit my ears in a very funny way immediately. It could be the circuit, or it could be that he does a better job of muting unwanted string vibrations on his second pass. Hard to say, but I definitely agree with you in that clip.

Regardless, I want a Nano with separate up and down footswitches. As an all-on or all-off switch I won't be buying one. If JHS does something similar to the QuadraPog with this new Nano, I'll definitely give it a shot.

Thought I'd post here what I posted in the other thread for completion's sake:

I did a little test of the Nano, run a pitchblack tuner after it. Tuned the open D string. First dry only, then octave down only then octave up only - no issue picking up the pitch. then all of them together, no issue either. If it was out of tune iwth itself, I think the tuner would have freaked out. Also tried open D + D on the G string with all voices and the tuner picked the D up with no problem. Then I played some 2 and 3 strings "chords" and I really couldn't hear what you can hear in that video.
