Electronics update for p bass?

That tonestyler isn't cheap, but man, it's awesome. I've got one in my #1 and I find it incredibly useful.

I did to and I was amazed for how I can passively shape my tone . Now I have other option switable for you :
1)build and home made tone styler (I did and I can design a wiring for it so simple and funny project) ,
2) use push pull pots for adding and removing treble bleed(on the volume pot) and 2 caps switch on the tone pot ,
3)simple homemade 2 band passive eq(two stacked tone pots , 2 resistor and 1 cap) .
All these are good because you don't need battery and wood work .

If its too expensive, you can make your own with a rotary switch and capacitors.

Upgrading for the sake of upgrading rarely gives desirable or worthwhile results. What is wrong with the stock pots?

This. If you don't know what's actually wrong, you'll never fix it.
If nothing's wrong, then why change?
If you have a specific desired change, then communicate that to us and we can be far more effective in helping.

As it is, I'll just tell you to buy some EMG Geezers. Everything's included.

Oh yeah. I got the stacked knobs and stacked pot for the Q-filter from basspartsresource.com. They did a good job of getting me what I needed.

bestbassgear.com Ebay ... do you like to solder ..!!??? if you can do this stuff yourself , the tiny minor improvement is OK ... but if you have to pay someone else to install these parts ... i'd save my money

usually use CTS pots ...

might as well install some new pickups while things are torn apart ..!!

What you want is 0.047uF/47nF. 0.47 is an inappropriate value in any unit of capacitance.

My $0.02,
Bourns premium guitar pots are the way to go.
They are sealed in plastic so they never oxidize and get scratchy.

Could you post a link for the Bourns pots, please? I assume they're only solid shaft?

No, you can get them in solid and slotted.

Ok I got a fender p bass with Seymour Duncan spb2 pickups..I'm getting all these recommendations but what brand do I go with, what exactly do I need for volume and tone?

I want something a little more standard,little more custom I guess. And when you say roll off what's that exactly mean?

When you turn down the volume it will be nice and gradual, not abrupt.
