+1
LOL! Rob just solved your problem with one word!![]()
IMHO, forget all the tweeter talk... just boost the low mids. That "chest punch" is usually somewhere around 400Hz, and I think the LMII's low mids are 380 if I recall.

Main rig is UL-112 + WWU but I'll occasionally bring out the big rig.
Hope to add another UL-112 and a UL-310/410 in the near future.

Those 1x10UL's are pretty cool..
Jokerjkny? Think it's about time that we see your 2 3x10UL's and the 902 rig![]()
This is false. He switched from European made B&C to American made Eminence drivers. I don't know where you got your information, but it's bad.More importantly, I heard that the manufacture of speakers is now being built in china?
has anyone else heard this? what do you think?
Epifani Club! I've seen the "light"!

Or you could even say.... you had an epiphany?...

That's a great picture of Kai and I'll bet your rig sounded fantastic. Here is Kai Eckhardt using my rig. ul502 +ul210ap (and an aggie gs112)
Actually, I don't even use the GS112 anymore, although it sounded great. now its the ul210ap (pictured) on top of a ul210. But both rigs rock.

its got more mojo that's for sure. Interesting I wold never have pegged Kai as a P-bass kind of guy.
like the pj I had, having that J pup there really makes those things very versatile, and the slap tone can be very close to a jazz. At least when he was slapping, I wasn't thinking a p sound at all.
not knocking p only basses at all.....

Here is richard ruse's (from Epifani) email that he sent me when asked if the new speakers were being built in china.
"Evan,
The cabinets are only assembled in China. All of the components are shipped from the States to China where they are loaded into the cabinets and then tested to our specifications. The drivers are made here in the States by Eminence and are the exact speakers we were loading into the cabinets here. The cabinets themselves are exactly the same except that we changed the insulation to meet ROHS environmental standards and do our part to become more "green". According to Nick Epifani the new insulation is more expensive and better sounding with the net result being less sound damaging resonance - the goal of all speaker designers! The grills are a little different but there is zero impact on the audio quality.
With this move to China we can employ a more consistent, more sophisticated method of manufacturing our cabinets. Additionally, the goal is to keep a larger supply available to our customers - something that had been difficult to accomplish with the current manufacturing operation...
Hope that helps
Richard Ruse"
my source is reliable but i just wanted to know what does everyone think of this change? has anyone tried one?
do they sound much different?
