Ok I have three gigs with the UL212 to give me perspective. I find running the Eden head flat as I mostly have done with various cabs works very well with the cab. It has less of a lean towards the very lows than the NYC's and comes across as more even or smooth. I think I'm able to hear the cab better on stage and the volume seems to be effortless. Is the UL Series more efficient than the NYC's? I don't know.It just seems to be easier for me to hear on stage without cranking the volume.
I was a little concerned after the first gig but I'm getting comfortable with the cab now. It's funny the keyboard players girlfriend saw me pick the UL cab up effortlessly and thought I had suddenly transformed into an animal. I laughed and told her it weighed only 59 lbs.
I have to admit the weight issue is very high on my priority list of cab factors. At the end of the night it is so nice have a light weight cab.
Would I be happier with a UL410? I don't know. I switched from 10" speaker cabs because I like full, smooth and warm and believe the 12's give a little more of this. I admit if I had a UL410 I would probably be just as happy. Either way I'm very happy with the Epifani UL212.

Cool review, USA. Im getting my 2x12 middle of next week. Im always gigging so Im looking forward to putting it to the test. My old original side by side 2x12 just killed!! Got to be too heavy for all the gigging I do so I sold it. I have a UL2x10 and 1X15 I used now. I really love 12's so I'm looking forward to this cab!! Hope its as good as I think it will be

i have the whole setup for sale as im not gigging and really want to buy a benavente standard 6 string this summer, but i might wind up keeping the two cabs as they sound so effing good and i sold the lakland and gk this week. gas gas gas.

in the new bassplayer mag, there is an ad with andrew gouche advertising the ul 902c and ps 4x10 cabs that he uses, but in the ad it says that the ps cabs range from 399-699 street cost and also that the ps heads start at 399 street...does that mean the ps400 is goign to sell for 399?!!!????!???!!!!!!!!?...if so...wow. who wouldnt be forced to buy one just for fun?

I'm pretty sure that range includes the new low end line of combo's they have coming out. I think the street price for the PS400 is around $699 ($999 for the PS1000)... still not bad.

Well, count me in, I just put a PS410 on layaway at The Perfect Bass until I can go back next Saturday and try with some different heads. I wanted to like the UL series cabs b/c of the weight, but I'll just have to use our new roady now! I just really preferred the voicing of the PS series, more classic sounding to my ears.

Isn't the Piccolo supposed to sell for around $699? It would be odd if the PS400 cost the same.

I think I actually get more excited about the 2 UL110's... 22lbs. is sooooo light, and they sound so good. I keep thinking about adding a series II UL112 or a Genz Neox112t... we'll see, maybe one of each!

Used my UL410 w/ a MOjO Sonic 2x10 @ a larger gig this Sat. night and those cabinets KILLED when used together!

When you plug in a second cabinet, isn't it technically in 'parallel', not series? Just asking. Pretty sure I'm right. But as always, I could be wrong.
