I know I am slacking on getting pics up, but I for one felt that Epifani made a big splash at NAMM. Those DIST cabs sounded great and seem to be the real deal with regard to selectable impedance. I'm still not sure how I feel about the "Epifunky" moniker, but I heard several cats playing through the Epifunky line head and cabs, and they sounded very good.

He posted earlier on it. Genuine dual voice coil technology. The real deal... at least according to Nick. Pending confirmation of the first technical review, however.

Yes, they use two voice coils per driver (which, to the best of my knowledge, is the correct way to do it).

Yeah, and I have a few pics I can upload too. The finish on the DIST cabs did look really nice and tough, and they did a good job with the wrap around grill, using a foam strip to avoid buzz/rattle. I'll post'em up tonight.

The DIST series is being launched with four speaker cabinet options, the DIST 410 (4 x 250 W 10-inch drivers, 40 Hz – 16 kHz, recommended 300 W to 2000 W), DIST 210 (2 x 250 W 10-inch drivers, 40 Hz – 16 kHz, recommended 300 W to 1000 W), DIST 115 (1x 400 W 15-inch driver, 39 Hz – 16 kHz, recommended 200 W to 800 W), and DIST 112 (1 x 300 W 12-inch driver, 44 Hz – 16 kHz, recommended 200 W to 600 W). All cabinets include a dual impedance selector switch for 8- and 4-ohm operation, a 100 W high frequency driver with on/off switch and adjustable level control via attenuator knob, and two Speakon® and two 1/4” input/output connectors.

All DIST series cabinets are of a proprietary structured Baltic birch design with extensive internal bracing to improve weight and strength, protected with proprietary high-tech, high-impact-resistant black paint, wraparound heavy gauge steel grill, and include recessed handles and heavy rubber feet. Together with the lightweight cast aluminum frame neodymium loudspeakers, the intricately machined internal construction of each DIST cabinet, handcrafted at the Epifani Custom shop in Brooklyn, perfectly balances sonic performance and rigidity with easy portability.

Any ballparks on the weight of the DIST line now that we all know we are talking neo with dual voice coils?

Yes, the Piccolo did get a bit bigger. The model they had was functional (and sounded good), but according to Nick the production model will be much lighter (the prototype felt like a conventional Class-A/B amp, as far as weight goes).
