This is the 1st bass I ever owned. I have had it for 22 years and it was in a bit of a state so I had it refurbished! It's an Epiphone Power bass. Can I have a number please?

Here's what I want to know.....if Epiphone can copy virtually ALL the classic Gibson guitars, why can't we have a few more semi-hollowbody basses than just the Allen Woody and the Jack Casady? It really chaffs my butt every time I open up a MF catalog and see all the EPIPHONE Les Pauls, Rivieras, Wildkats, Casinos, Dots, Nighthawks, etc. They are beautifully done at a fraction of the price of the Gibsons. Why can't we have an Epiphone version of the Midtown, Memphis, Les Paul or even bring back the EB-2?

Having said that, I LOVE my Alpine White Jack Casady!

The pic was taken before I strung her up with TI Jazz Flats. Now sporting black Hipshot Supertone bridge and Ultralite Tuners for that "Tuxedo" look. I managed to solve the body curvature compatibility problem with the flat bottom of the Hipshot by using washers as shims:

She sounds lovely and has sustain for days. I just couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. If I'm going to be forced to only have these few choices for hollow or semi-hollowbody Epi basses, the Jack Casady is pretty damn sweet!

Oh, and I'll proudly take a number if someone's giving them out.

Never seen this club before...

Been playing Epiphones since 2007. Started with an EB-0 that I traded in for a Tbird a month later that was my only bass for over three years. Added a Nikki Sixx Blackbird to the collection in 2011 (I keep it tuned DGCF with Dean Markley Nikki Sixx strings for Mötley Crüe songs). I'll post pictures shortly.

Currently gassing for a Gold or Silverburst (or both) Jack Casady.

That is a really sweet looking bass, and particular sexy looking in white...

In contrast to eldoryder, here's my black JC-- I just now finished doing the tuners. After I was done I realized that my hindbrain was saying "Black bound Gibson-ish-- it should have gold metal," because my old buddy John Lucas had a 1965 Les Paul Black Beauty that I greatly admired, and I guess it wanted its own. It would explain why I got so fixated on keystone tuners a while back-- though it's still difficult to believe that no one makes them for bass. Anyway, here's the JC Black Beauty so far-- next mods will make it Something Other than Epiphone--

Did the tuners and bridge make much difference? I am trying to decide if it is worth the time, trouble and $$$ to replace the stock hardware.

That's a shame, since everything I hear about those is great. With the exception of the electronic components which aren't so great all the time.

I already have a number somewhere, but forgot to check in when another Epi came home. It's another Thunderbird. This one is a bolt-on neck version, and instead of being modified to be fretless, it's going to get a Dimarzio One pickup up by the neck. It will be the thump machine. Assuming I ever get around to it.
