I purchased an LTD B155, and then a LTD B155DX. Both had sub-par fretwork, and weak pickups - though they did sound OK. The hardware wasn't too bad, and the finish was nice. The DX came with a large scratch on the side of the neck, and had a short as it went through three batteries in two months. The neck seemed too "thick" to me that I didn't like either.
I sold both
[And yes - it got unplugged when not being played]
Maybe I just got two lemons in a row![]()

, well that sucks, three batteries in two months? I heard that some people have problem with the the lower range LTD stuff like the 100 series and less. Sucks that you went through two of them though., well that sucks, three batteries in two months? I heard that some people have problem with the the lower range LTD stuff like the 100 series and less. I have a SR405QM that I like a lot also.Yeah - they were real nice other than the problems - the blue FM DX was beautiful. I could have probably got it fixed, but I didn't really like the thickness of the neck either. Went back to Ibanez SR series, and happy I did![]()
I don't really need a new bass, I just like the looks of it and it has good features. I have seven Basses, two of which are Boutique but you know how it is when you see something you like![]()

ESP advertises those basses as have thin U-shaped necks, Not so?
