essential pedals for stoner rock/ fuzz rock / doom

Start with a russian big muff or any good boutique clone thereof. For best results use lower gain/sustain settings played fingerstyle high up on the neck (with plucking hand obvi) preferably through a large cab (2x15 or 8x10) and cranked amp of your choosing. This is what I would recommend for a "Sleep" type of bass sound.

I am building a Doom board as well. Im using the Old Blood Noise Haunt Fuzz on it. Ill also be grabbing a Dunlop bass wah, and im thinking a Soul Food for OD. Its not super heavy, but it is transparent and i love the sounds i get from my guitar version. Its not traditional, but my ears like it.

Im still debatimg on a chorus or phaser or something. Ive never owned a phaser, and ive never owned a chorus i liked.
