Glad you like it! I love mine. Yes, it does get a bit hot, and I have also considered bigger feet on the bottom. It has never failed on a gig for me, though.

NAD! I picked up an EA iAmp 1200
Classic yesterday, played through it a little bit today on my VanderKley 2x12. The headroom on this thing is crazy. Very powerful but precise and relaxed at the same time. Since I got that Dingwall, I’ve been looking for an amp that can do it justice. The search is over, I put my three other heads for sale (Eden WT400, Quilter BB800, Kustom KXB500).

Just one question for other owners: I left it powered on, muted, for a few hours, and the bottom gets rather hot. Is that normal? How hot does it get at gig levels? Should I put taller feet under it, or a fan base to get more airflow?

You might want to hang on to at least one other amp as a backup.

Still getting to know this thing. As mentioned waaay back in this thread, you can (or should?) really crank up the gain just below the leds show red.
Mine didn’t come with a user manual, the only EA manual I found online was for the iAmp 800 Pro, which mentions internal dip switches to configure various options. Does anyone know if the 1200 Classic has internal dip switches too?
Or maybe someone can share a pdf or scan of the user manual, that would be great!

I used to own an iamp800 several years ago….I always felt it sounded best with the pre-gain up pretty high….
