Sadly, yes. EA is not making any new products and just selling off what is/was already in stock. John and Gary will continue to provide product support, though.
That's a shame. The EA line was somewhat niche but intelligently so IMO. I have their Whizzy 12 MLine and love it.

EA made some of the best gear, ever. The VL208 is legendary, and for good reason. Personally, I feel that some of their last products - especially the iAMP Classic and NL112 - are some of the best they ever produced.
Yes, I enjoyed my EA gear, especially the iAMP Pro. Anyone know if the closing is due to a planned retirement or "market conditions?"

Aw man. Those guys were innovators. I owned a VL210 for quite a while. It was a really nice, and versatile, cab!

What a shame. I love my iAmp800, wizzy 12M,, and VL208!
Years ago I played an iAmp Pro at Bass Northwest in Seattle. I absolutely loved it. I didn't buy it but literally a few hours later changed my mind. I called Bass Northwest and Evan told me that it sold about twenty minutes ago. Whoops. 
I never went back to trying to grab another iAmp Pro but probably should have. There's always the used market if I decide to go that route again someday.

My claim to near-fame is making a record and touring with Geoff Tate back in 2002. Not much documentation of that tour, but here we are in St. Louis, and that's my VL-208 sitting atop a Bag End S-15. Killer pocket rig for stage feel on an otherwise in-ears tour. RIP to Euphonic Audio.
I had the iAMP 800 and two Cxl112s. Did me well on some great gigs. I was asked to turn down by band mates and at one gig the folks in the shop next door. The low end was usable and massive, unless you were next door. 
Wow, sorry to hear about this but if was the choice of the owners (due to retirement hopefully) well you have that.
I actually started a thread about EA a while back, why they didn't seem to get much attention around here when they were everywhere (Bass gear mag reviews, etc.) 20 years ago. The general consensus was it was no longer the "new boutique brand" on the block.
The people in that thread did love their EA gear, some expressed regret about selling theirs.
The upside is at least they didn't get bought by some conglomerate and their name slapped on cheap combo practice amps from China to crap on their legacy.

Yes, Larry, John, and Gary have given us some wonderful equipment throughout the years but have decided that they’ve been at it for long enough and it’s time to go on to other adventures. EA may be gone but keep an eye out for more treats from New Jersey.

I played some loud gigs with the Pro but my favorite occasion was a low volume gig in a beauty salon (Girls Night Out!). The cab was a Greenboy 12/6. The audio on this video was recorded with a single stereo mic about 3 feet in front of the band. Smooth, warm tone with a Fender Aerodyne P/J. Nice!
