Ever seen Heart in concert?

Saw them twice in the 70's - Dreamboat Annie and Little Queen tours in the Detroit area. The Wilson sisters were the real game changers for female rockers/vocalists, IMO. Yeah, great band, glad I got to see them during that time frame! A lot of of us punk teen guys surely lusted after those Wilson gals!

I saw Heart in 1979 at Mile High Stadium in Denver. But I only have vague memories of it.

A more memorable experience was about 20 years ago when my wife and son and I went to Teatro Zinzanni in Seattle. Teatro Zinanni is a wild dinner theatre/circus that take place in a big tent done up like a dining room. The performers walk amongst the tables while a four-course meal is served. It turned out that Ann Wilson of Heart was participating in it, playing the role of the singing chanteuse. She stood at the end of our table and belted out Bessie Smith's 'Need a Little Sugar in My Bowl.' It was incredible.

My other Heart-related experience is I met Steve Fossen when he was working at Bass Northwest in Seattle. Super nice guy. Very humble and friendly.

I got to see Heart, Cheap Trick, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts at the amphitheater in Burgettstown, PA South of Pittsburgh. All three bands were good and tight. Heart made it look effortless. Only negative was many Led Zeppelin songs (and, I like Zeppelin) instead of more Heart songs.

On a related note, I got to speak to Steve Fossen twice for great conversations on the phone a few years ago. We talked about many things Heart related and other things. Super nice guy. Very cool!

I saw them at their 2013 RRHOF induction, same night Rush got in. They played both with the current band and (most of) the original band.

Exquisite. Stole the night in my opinion.

I saw them open for Jefferson Starship. Their first album had just come out. They were OK. They certainly didn’t embarrass themselves, but… they were OK.

July 16 1980. Heart and J. Geils opened for The Who.. I think the first song Heart did was Black Dog.

My first concert was Heart somewhere around 1987 or 88. I saw them perform at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. Been to many more concerts since, but there will always be something special about that first one.

I saw them in 2019 (the only time I've seen them live, to be clear) and they were AWESOME. Yes, Ann's voice isn't exactly the same as it was in the 70s, but she is still incredible. If you get the chance to see them, DEFINITELY go.

I saw them at a biker event in Phoenix. I was not a fan and wasn't there to see Heart but was blown away by them. Just a great show!

I saw them a couple of years ago with Joan Jett and Elle King. Great show but too many covers when they easily could've done several more of their own.

I saw them on the Bebe LaStrange tour. Eh…I missed Roger Fisher. Plus Steve Fossen changed basses after every couple songs and never used the same bass twice, which ended up with the sound tech having to deal with remixing him every time.

Took the wife to a show about 5 years ago right after the Kennedy Center performance for Led Zep…..they absolutely killed it. Their tour manager at the time is a family friend and gave my wife the roses off of Nancy’s amp.

Saw hart in Ohio, 1976 with opening local band Michael Stanley band, if I remember correctly the crowd was not very nice to Heart, it seem to me that they were trying to get Michael Stanley back on stage! All in all a great show

As a devout Heart fan, I decided to ask this simply because I posted a similar thread about Kansas.

My parents actually think they saw Heart in concert. I know my mom saw Rush in 1976, and she told me that Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, and Heart were also on the same bill. I am a little jealous that my mom saw Heart in concert.

Heart had some very good bass players in Steve Fossen and Mark Andes. They were a very compelling live act (but wasn’t every rock band a compelling live act in those days?)

But if you have seen Heart in concert please let me know. There’s actually a clip of Heart performing at the California Jam concert on YouTube. You’ll have to find it…

I saw Heart at the Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton on August 25, 1987. Certainly one of the better shows I've seen. The acoustic set featuring just Ann and Nancy on acoustic guitars was amazing!

I saw them in Syracuse back about 1984 - Cheap Trick was the opener. Great show.
