Ever seen Heart in concert?

I am a semi-professional musician
As a devout Heart fan, I decided to ask this simply because I posted a similar thread about Kansas.

My parents actually think they saw Heart in concert. I know my mom saw Rush in 1976, and she told me that Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, and Heart were also on the same bill. I am a little jealous that my mom saw Heart in concert.

Heart had some very good bass players in Steve Fossen and Mark Andes. They were a very compelling live act (but wasn’t every rock band a compelling live act in those days?)

But if you have seen Heart in concert please let me know. There’s actually a clip of Heart performing at the California Jam concert on YouTube. You’ll have to find it…

Twice. Maybe 8 years ago then again about 4 years ago. First show was amazing. Drummer was awesome. Lead gtr could tighten up. Ann and Nancy were killing it!.

Second show was good but not like the first. They seemed to be phoning it in at times. I would go see them again.

Several times. They were friggin great live.
Funny story I saw them at a Six Flags and Howard Leese was strutting on front stage and slipped right off onto the pavement. He was playing a lead and you could hear the boing of the guitar splatting. Couple seconds later he’s back upright with another guitar strutting back to the left. Pro. And hilarious.

They have some great songs. And Wilson’s voice was just bomber.

Saw them in Phoenix, AZ 1980 Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Bébé Le Strange tour. The show was good but it was obvious Heart had become the Ann and Nancy show. IMO there was always something missing after Roger left the group. They were still good though. Just different.

The other take away I remember from the show were the long lines of guitars both current and vintage on the sides of the stage. The vast majority of which were not used during the show. I remember thinking "is this concert or a showing off of how many guitars they all owned ?

I have been to their concerts about 20 times starting back in the 70’s thru just a few years ago. Obviously, a fan! To me it’s always been about Ann’s voice and she is one of the few singers that live is just incredibly good. Through all the different bands member changes through the years, they have always put on a great show and are very talented musicians!
