I'm learning the tapping for Bloodmeat currently, I've never tried tapping before so, it's kinda akward. it really hurts my fingers and getting the timing down.

I got to see them live last year. Best 30 dollars Ive ever spent and would have gladly paid a lot more.
As much as I hate to admit it, I watched that video about 4 times in a row.. But shh, dont tell anyone that old skool me liked a metal or whatever that is song.
Fieldy, Paul Grey, Jerry Only, Dee Dee Ramone, Dan from Alkaine trio and Roger from Less Than Jake.
Not all P bass, but for me it'd be 40% Geezer Butler, 40% Mike Watt, and 20% Eric Wilson.

Its funny the amount of tones that are more modern compared to what I like. I guess I am old school!
There are so many tones that I'd like to be able to emulate but let me see if I can narrow it down to a handful:
Janek Gwizdala and Hadrien Feraud - musical but growly (moreso with Hadrien)at the same time, like a modernized Jaco.
Uriah Duffy - Some of the funkiest fingers to have ever touched a bass! Every time I hear him some part of my body starts trying to follow the groove.
Actually.... that's it, lol! Lots of contrast between the two but both are tones that I enjoy hearing and see myself playing

Thats the tone I would go for if I were a "solo bassist" like those guys, but seeing I play strictly in a band setting, the tones I look for are totally different.

I love Doug Wimbish's agressive Spector tone on this song. One of the best hard rock bass tones ever, IMO.
They work well in a band setting too, I just picked that clip because it highlighted their tone in the solos.
