That video was made a long time after that band's existence(a bunch of Zappa damaged east coast hippies circa 1968, so I don't think it's anything they had in mind). The music reminds me a wee bit of the Shaggs.

I played with Black Oak Arkansas when we toured in the 80s. Definitely a freak show. Although David Lee Roth took a lot from Jim Dandy, by the mid 80s (when VH was at their peak) you could see Jim Dandy had stolen some moves from Roth.
