When I started playing Asheron's Call a few years ago, I had to think of a character name that sounded the part....so Killdar was it, kinda randomly popped into me head. It stuck, and I use it for everything now.

I may have adopted the kitty avatar, but I won't be jumpin on the change-user-name-to-real-name bandwagon any time soon.

ProgZilla

"Prog": I'm a very big fan of progressive rock and metal and thought it was applicable..

"Zilla": From "Godzilla", the large and brutish reptile that has pestered many a Japanese city.. Being rather large and brutish myself, with a tendency to frighten small animals and children I thought that applied as well..

Therefore, "ProgZilla"

FTR, my real name is Mark.

Elbass comes from a gig I was playing for the Air Force band in Illinois about a decade ago. I was playing in a jazz combo at an AF dinner at the local Officer's Club. Later in the evening, one of the protocol officers was supposed to thank the band and introduce the musicians to the audience. Obviously, the note he had with our names on it had the name of my instrument abbreviated on it, and the guy was pretty clueless; he introduced me as:"Staff Sergeant Bob Storck-El Bass" pronouncing the word "bass" like the fish. I got lots of crap (or should I say "carp") from the guys at work the next day, and I decided to adopt "elbass"as a handle to use for a number of things, including my TB user name

There it is...the whole sordid story. Pretty funny, huh?

...ok, I guess you had to be there...

Not my real name (it's Jonathan). It's from the SNL sketch where John Goodman and a couple other guys are at a bar and talking about Bill Brasky and going on and on about it. Me and my friends like to do this sometimes too, and just act really loud and belligerent about it.
So, Bill Brasky runs about 6 foot 8. 380 pounds... One time Bill Brasky ate a circus midget. Brasky uses a live rattlesnake for a condom! One time Brasky made me wear a bikini to work. Of couse all my friends laughed at me, but I'll be damned if my sales weren't up 20% that week!
To Bill Brasky!!!!

HAHA... Bill Brasky rocks!! Those were one of the best SNL skids ever. Great name! I suggest people download this sketch on Kazaa.

OK, I think I'm the last one, so here I go.

HITMAN: I've been using it as a nickname for years. I've picked it up from Bret "The Hitman" Hart, the wrestler. He was quite big here in Canada, and I used to be a wrestling fan when I was a kid (not anymore, it is all crap). And my friends thought it look good on me, so it took off from there. And, it is a cool sounding word/name.

9696: For some odd and bizzare reason, my favorite number is 96. When I tried to secure the user name "hitman96" for an email account, it was taken. Hence, the next best thing was to double the number. 9696.

I've stayed with this nickname since I first logged on the Internet, around 6 years ago. My real name is Duff-Lee Harris... I know, I know :hmm:

And, oh yes, TO BILL BRASKY!!!

:D ;)

English:Anthony
Italian:Antonino
Short:Nino

Parents called me Nino growing up in Brooklyn NY. Friends made fun of me but it didn't bother me cause I liked it better than Anthony. My closest friends still call me Nino.

Movie:New Jack City
Actor:Wesley Snipes plays a drug dealer named Nino Brown. It stuck like crazy glue.
