Beautiful! What is the depth of the body (front to back)? That is really sharp looking ...
Not sure, but pics make it look to be about as deep as most acoustics out there.

The KR acoustic I ordered a while back is getting finished soon.

As a matter of fact, it was culled from numerous threads essentially blasting ERB's as useless instruments, with one of the common themes being that all they were good for was playing video game tunes. I'll have to go back a ways to try and find the valid references, but specific attention was called to your playing, Jean, and how totally unfair it was to have you recognized only for your ecclectic theme music without any attention paid to your insane skills.
Since this thread/club/whatever was started in February of 2009, acceptance of ERB's has improved greatly, in large part to players like you who pioneered the acceptance and players like John Turner who had the ability to ride herd on the negative comments. During this 3+ year period, a lot of players (well, at least 168 of them
) have proven that ERB's can be used for a wide variety of genre's.Glad to have you here, you can provide a lot of guidance on the huge range of options for 7+ string playing!

I second this. Jean, you're one of the few bassists I hope I could get to be as good as. Plus you're ostrich bass is gorgeous, I dig the chambered body
as we've spoke on the subject before, people are silly... I've been at this thing for a year and because I'm kind of vindictive about it, I have had a lot of conflicts on the internet. I always land on the fact that I play less "ACTUAL" bass on my 4 string than I ever have on my 12. I use a couple of videos to show them and they normally shut up pretty quickly... Harp or not

Two Carvin LB76 lefty
The fretted is made of walnut with a bird eye maple fretboard and the fretless is purple with a maple neck and swamp ash body, lined ebony fretboard.
Once my finance allow it, I will had a BB76 or a Icon6 fretless without line this time.

Some people just want to be negative about things that they ignorantly think they have set some sort of rule(s) for. Still to this day some people have issues with musicians who choose to play what the naysayers can't mentally comprehend

I used to complain that some bassists were a little on the narrow-minded side. I recently joined a guitar forum because I had been playing a little more guitar before finding another band. It didn't take me too long to get banned from the place. It's funny how ignorant some guitarists can be. As much as they dish it, they can't take it whatsoever.
In the occasional bass thread, it was full of guitarists who thought they know all about bass. Do what you're told, get a P-Bass with flats, etc. Lame sauce.

Sometime it is kind of like that here... Don't solo, don't play more than 5 strings if you do, you are a frustrated guitarist and obviously you won't play bass on your bass. Also if you don't groove you don't play bass and you don't diserve to be a bass player. If you play more than potato bass you obviously won't play in any band because you are more than the foundation ...
Pretty much. I posted my Rob Allen 6er and some dude told me that I either needed a Music Man and/or a P with flats. He was extremely condescending, but any bassist could smell that he knew little or nothing about bass, despite thinking he was the master of us. He didn't know what pickups were in it, but knew it sounded like crap. After a while, I also pointed out that it was strung with tapewounds, which most of us would have easily seen.
All he knew was that it was an active bass and "we ain't playing Weather Report". Despite that, I pointed out that he had absolutely no idea between an active bass and active pickups. Despite "hating" active basses/pickups, he still recommended that I get a Music Man.
Very opinionated know-it-alls. Some dude attacks me and I call him a legend in his own mind, which gets me banned.
Naturally, there were some more intellegent people in the handmade sub-forums, but I sure as hell am not going back there. We are very fortunate to have open-minded and polite mods. Their attitudes were just as bad as the folks they were supposed to be moderating.On a side note, there was a solo of Tal posted and they were all drooling over her. If some guy played the same solo, they'd be standing with their arms folded and giving the stink eye.
I don't think that a lot of folks here understand just how good the mods and admins are here at TB. Really, I've personally never seen any other forum quite so well run ....

Yes, it didn't take me too long to realize this. TB members and the mods have spoiled me. Then again, bassists tend to be the level headed ones in bands.
