They did make a 80cm model 0r 31.5 inches. For your smaller gigs. I got no specs on it but should work.

Yes, it is the box. In this case you can use this box to transport people into the show.
I personally find the svt classic 410hlf cab to be the most thunderous 4x10 cab that I've heard. It goes down to 20 hz. I actually have one posted in the classifieds because it's almost too deep for my liking and I have a set of avatar cabs I really like.
I thinks the porting has a lot to do with it on the ampeg, but in general I've found Ampeg does "boomy" really well.

Yours must be custom, the stock one is rated at -3db @ 48 Hz and -10db @ 28 Hz.

There are some drivers that could do it but the typical types of enclosure technology would make the size pretty absurd. A horn to do that would be crazy big.Transmission lines lines could do it but would also be huge. Duke and I have talked a lot about various options. An EXTREMELY limited market---but doable.

Lots of highs with the tweeter no body or high mid all clank and rumble.. now at high (rediculous) volume it started to show some punch but that's what it was designed for.. high volume stages not clubs. you could tame it a bit with an hpf, but why? Not my cup of tea..
I loved the low notes but it was like that was all it did well. Took it back and got 2x15" mark bass cabs and was far happier. Till GAS struck again

Manufacturers that claim that their 410 will go down to 20hz (or anything below 30hz) are just plain lying.
And if they indeed would reach 20hz, they lack efficiency in the range that's needed to project bassguitar as intended.
If you really wanna go down to 20hz and be heard, buy yourself at least 4 closed 18" subs(with at least 10mm xmax), a DSP to do the crossover duties and to compensate the frequency response and some hefty poweramps. If you take that onstage I'm sure you'll drive the FOH guy completely insane.....

The Audiokinesis Hathor 1855 supposedly reproduces the first overtone of low F#. That's the lowest I have read about.

I have a pro audio subwoofer that will get 20 with some authority that is not a monster. I don't think it would be an appropriate bass cab though. You'd have to roll it off I'd venture to guess about 80. It's much like Mikes 112.
